Francisco grew up in Pereira (city’s history and economy are coffee based), the town is part of the Colombian Coffee Cultural Landscape, and declared by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.
Early in his career as a Mechanical Engineer, Francisco worked for nestle in the production of instant coffee, where he first came into direct contact with the fascinating world of coffee and its benefits. Later in his career, while obtaining his Master’s degree at Missouri State University, he developed a business model to sell Colombian green coffee to the Midwest. In 2018 Francisco decided to embark on a new adventure: converting one of his dreams into reality that is how CofiCafe was born in Seattle.
CofiCafe is a direct connection between specialty coffee Colombian Independent growers and independent coffee roasters located in the Pacific North-West of the United States.
